Cherry Blossom season was coming to an end but we still caught eyefuls in the elevated, cooler areas around Mt Fuji. We were only allowed as far as the 4th station of Mt Fuji as it was snowing higher up and the road to the 5th station was blocked off. Saw plenty of snow, though, and caught glimpses of the Mt Fuji peak in between the clouds.

No graffiti or rubbish anywhere in Japan. Whilst many people still smoke in Japan, there were no cigarette butts on the ground. Apparently there are designated spots on city streets where people can smoke and butt out.
