PETS

It seems that pets are a luxury in Japan. We found dogs and cats selling for Y150,000 - Y400,000 (that's around $1,500 - $4,000). Even rabbits were Y15,000 ($150 AUD). We even saw a dog relaxation establishment and place where one could cuddle, play with, and, in effect, pretend to own a dog for an hour or so (at a price, of course).
